Avid4 Adventure empowers kids to choose an active, outdoor lifestyle.  Assistant Directors form the backbones of the Resident Camp experience, and work tirelessly in order to create a program that serves our 3 Bottom Lines: Safety First, Stellar Programs, and Happy Staff.  We want ADs that can:

Assistant Director Available Positions:

AD: Parent Stoke- delivers A++ parent communication and touch points

AD: Stellar Programs- ensures that are Activity Supervisors are delivering an incredibly positive program  

AD: Happy Kids, Happy Staff- knows that a happy staff = happy kids, and therefore provides incredible support 

AD: I Make Camp Run- loves logistics, and takes on all of these behind-the-scenes things to execute our mission

 

The CORE Responsibilities of an Assistant Director:

PLEASE NOTE that there is an administrative component (1/2 day-ish) to all AD positions.

Safety First

  • Oversee safety & risk management components of all program operations
  • Aid in resolving concerns to ensure physical and emotional safety for all campers and staff

Stellar Programs

  • Practice servant leadership for the teams that you directly support
  • Take pride in the facets of the camp that you oversee

Passionate Staff

  • Get out into programs to interact with kids and staff in the field
  • Share gratitude, listen always, and deliver an incredibly high level of communication

 

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum 21 years of age and a sincere passion for working with kids
  • At least 1 year of experience working at a Resident Camp
  • Camp leadership and aptitude for technology (Google Suite, etc) strongly preferred
  • Wilderness First Aid (WFA, WFR, EMT, or W-EMT) and CPR

Important Dates:

  • Staff training: Spring Camp Leadership weekend in Colorado late April & full staff training begins May 29th - June 13th
  • Camp Dates: June 14th - August 9th
