Avid4 Adventure
  • Day Camp - CA
  • Part Time (Seasonal)

Avid4 Adventure, #3 on Outside Magazine's 2017 Best Places to Work, is hiring substitute instructors for our summer day camps in the Bay area. We empowers kids to choose active, outdoor lifestyles.  Instructors are the cornerstone of our team, providing support, mentorship, and instruction to our campers with enthusiasm and passion. Substitute Instructors will be contacted on an as-needed basis by our Camp Directors to fill in for illnesses, vacations or surges in our camp attendance. You will be paid only for the hours that you are working as an instructor. A typical camp day is 8:00 am 3:45 pm.

 Our commitment to you:

  • We strive to give our substitute instructors as much notice as possible, but in the case of a same day need, we will only call or text you between the hours of 6:30am-9am.
  • We will provide you with a solid training program at the beginning of your employment with us. This training will help align you with our processes and provide you knowledge of our core sports.
  • When you are called to work at a camp, the Camp Director or Assistant Director will be committed to ensuring you are up to speed and have everything that you need for a great day!

Your commitment to us:

  • You will reply via email to the substitute instructor availability weekly to update us on days you can work.
  • Once you have received a phone call or text and have committed to working that day, please be at the camp location by 8am or within 1 hour of the call.
  • You have at least 8 days/month (on average) of availability between June 1 - August 18.
