As Avid4 Adventure's Customer Experience Specialist, you will become part of a team who all share the belief that participation in the outdoors has the power to transform kids' lives.   Our summer camps empower pre-K- 12th graders with the skills and confidence to paddle, bike, hike, climb and thrive in the outdoors.  The Customer Experience Specialist is responsible for providing outstanding customer experience to parents interested in enrolling in camp and school programs and supporting camp staff with enrollment needs during the summer season.  In this position, you will answer high volumes of calls and emails responding to parents' questions about camp, correspond with customers through online chat, process enrollments through our online registration system (Active.com), and support with office administrative duties.  The Customer Experience Specialist is an integral part of our success in expanding Avid4 Adventure camps nationally and empowering kids to be active for life.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Share Avid4 Adventure's mission, answer questions, and process enrollments for day camp, overnight camp, and school program customers.  Avid4 Adventure is on path of national expansion. Expected volume:
    • Process 14,000+ camp enrollments through Avid4 Adventure's online registration system.
    • Answer calls, emails and online chat can reach over 150/day January - July
  • Process camp registrations, transfers, and other camp-related purchases using online registration system, Active.com.  
  • Co-lead training and management of seasonal Customer Experience Reps.
  • Support Camp Directors during summer months:
    • Troubleshooting Technology needs, creating rosters and solving registration issues.
  • Support Marketing Team or other Avid4 Adventure teams with projects as needed mid-August October. Ex: calls to schools for flier distribution approval, curating top camp photos from previous season, etc.
  • Support Avid4 Adventure's Customer Experience Manager with office management duties such as:  leading team to maintain a great looking, fun office environment, ordering office supplies, picking up/sending mail. 

 

Minimum Requirements:

  • College Degree or above
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Previous customer service experience; experience handling a high volume of customers on the phone is a plus. 
  • Strong Computer Skills: Highly comfortable using databases, proficient with MS Office (Excel & Word)
  • Strong written communication skills
  • Great ability to multi-task.  Answering calls, registering customers online, generating reports all happen every day!

 

Work Schedule & Benefits

  • Customer Experience Specialist will primarily work in Avid4 Adventure's office located at: 3200 Carbon Place, Suite 102, Boulder, CO 80301
  • Customer Experience hours are 8am - 6pm, which you will share with a Customer Experience specialist working in shifts. 
    • Anticipated hours/week:
      • Oct Mid Aug. = 40 (some hours on the weekend)
      • Mid Aug. September = Vacation
  • Compensation is $15-16 per hour, which is a full-time equivalent staff member.  Pay is commensurate with experience.
  • Benefits include health insurance, eligibility for 401K plan, pro-purchase program, and camp discounts for children and nieces/nephews.
